I would like to start telling you that actually I have no idea of how I had the courage to start this incredible adventure. As I wrote in the last post, the first time I went out of my mother land was to study abroad in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, place which I totally LOVE and I have been back for several times.

That is why I would like to share with you my favorite places in town, the ones I consider you cannot miss in case you are visiting the city.

Starting in the Central Station, few meter after going out you will find the 18 Septemberplein, in my opinion the most representative square of Eindhoven, where is the Sissy-boy and the Piazza, the Sissi-boy is the glass half-oval store I am looking at in the picture above, it is great place to go and sit down for a coffee.

The view from VANE roof top bar

If you keep walking few blocks south, thru the shopping street you will find the St. Catharina Church and Stratumseind which is the longest bar is street in The Netherlands, so if you feel like partying at night that is definitely the place to go; but if you are not in a party mood but you still wanna get a drink I would advise you to go to VANE, which is a roof top bar in the NH hotel from where you can get a great view of the city of lights!

If you are feeling hungry, also in front of the St. Catharina church are my favorite restaurants, De Burger, Ribs Factory and Van't Spit which are great options to enjoy a tasty meal.

PSV stradium
If you are a football soccer fan, you must visit is the PSV stadium, this was the fist place I went when I arrived i the city, but getting into a match can be a little bit hard as a tourist but there is also a museum in the stadium which is worth to visit.

The Flying pins are also one of the most representative monuments in the city, Eindhoven is well known because of its innovative design and the flying pins are for sure an unique piece of art that you will notice while doing some sightseeing.

Cycling is something you must do in The Netherlands, and the most incredible cycle path I have ever been is in this city, the Van Gogh-Roosegaarde Cycle Path which has thousands of sparkling colored stones that make the path look like the famous Starry Night painting by Van Gogh.

I hope this guide to be helpful if you are planning to visit the city of lights, for more pictures and places check out my instagram page itsatraveler_ where I often post pictures of my fav spots in the different cities I visit!
